Purpose of Position: Fabricate commercial windows, curtain wall, storefront, doors including hardware and composite panels.

Essential Duties:

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer's instructions.
• Utilize oral and written instructions to determine size, shape, color, and type of material to use.
• Cut, fit and assemble material in accordance with manufacture's specifications.
• Operate forklift and side loader to move material from storage to production area. Unload material from trucks and tractor trailers by means of forklift, side loader and manual labor.
• Fabricate various composite panels from flat stock.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of vocational training preferred in shop/construction/building trade.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, or construction trades is preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Ability to read and understand, instructions, safety rules, and correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate information one-on-one and in small group situations to supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules, OSHA regulations and strive to promote a safe work environment.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and use measuring devices such as: rulers, tape measures, and micrometers.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Physical Demands

• Ability to push, pull and lift 100lbs
• Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop
• Ability to reach above and below shoulders
• Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull
• Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground
• Ability to endure uncomfortable weather conditions year round
